Postgraduate studies

Nowadays I’m really considering taking a Master in scriptwriting. The major reason to do that it’s because I would love to work writing scripts for television or movies, that’s one of my biggest dreams and to be able to do it I have to improve myself.

I think I’ll have subjects which encourage my imagination and give me tips to manage the different types of scripts such as sitcoms, series, soap operas, etc. Personally I rather prefer work in a serie for television or a streaming network, but I wouldn’t mind working in a soap opera, I thnk it’s a very challenging type of writing and I hope I can do it perfectly some time, you have to know it all to do it good.

Here in Chile the movies’ industry it’s very small and you don’t have many places to take a postgraduate besides ICEI or UC, so I think I would study somewhere else. I don’t have a favorite place in this moment so anywhere would be fine haha. Maybe Mexico, Spain, Italy or England, I don’t like so much French movies so I exclude it, but not really. If I could go anywhere I’ll go. Best-case scenario I’ll be taking a part-time postgraduate while I work in a small production company writing on demand. I think it’s hard to enter in that world, but not impossible. I only have to keep the hopes high and the expectations low.
